FLY 16×9 is a strange, but beautiful byproduct of the internet age; A mutant of the traditional fashion magazine. Stephen Blaise and Catherine Cushman founded FLY “as a response to the creative stagnation and repetition they began to see in traditional print media.” FLY is essentially a moving “glossy.” With Gucci, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Dior and countless other fashion houses on board, Fly is bound to break tradition. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Johnny Freddie Vintage is an amazing e-shop nestled in the oblivion of ebay. My bet is that JFV will catch a following for its classic vintage and “indie Aussie label” vibe. JFV proclaims, “there’s no need to be a vintage puritan to reap the rewards of second hand shopping- there are loads of amazing current and original looks to be built from forgotten pieces of eras past.” New pieces are added every second monday. As spring approaches, on this hemisphere, check out JFV’s shop here.
